Kandal (FN), Mar. 27 – KB Kookmin Bank, a leading bank in South Korea and a shareholder of KB PRASAC Bank, organized a handover ceremony for a library building for Damnak Ampil Primary and Secondary School in Angsnoul District, Kandal Province on 21 March 2025, highly graced by Ke Sovann, Undersecretary of State of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

This library building was materialized from the sponsor of staff of KB Kookmin Bank, local community and relevant partners, as well as the direct participation of more than 30 KB Kookmin Bank employees in the completion of the construction project.

In addition to the participation of a volunteer group of KB Kookmin Bank employees in enhancing the beauty of the library and school by painting and drawing on the walls, the team also participated in cultural exchange activities with students and teachers by organizing traditional Korean games such as Jegichagi and Tuho.

At the ceremony, KB PRASAC Bank management expressed their sincere gratitude to KB Kookmin Bank in Korea and other stakeholders for supporting the construction of the library at Damnak Ampil school. The successful completion of the construction and handover of the library building reflects KB Kookmin Bank’s commitment to contributing to the development of education and supporting the community in Cambodia. He also hoped that students would make full use of the library to gain knowledge from reading books and conducting research for the benefit of the future and hoped that they would participate in preserving this valuable achievement.

An official from KB Kookmin Bank said, "We hope that Cambodian residents and teenagers will enjoy opportunities for knowledge and learning in the KB Library, experience the wider world through books, and develop dreams and hopes."

It is noteworthy that KB Kookmin Bank has also supported social work in Cambodia, including the construction of a library, supporting heart treatment for Cambodian children, and contributing funds to the Samdech Techo Scholarship Foundation.
