Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 28 – The National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) is investigating reports of tremors in Cambodia, suspected to have been triggered by a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar, which also shook Thailand.
Kun Kim, First Vice President of the NCDM, told Fresh News on Friday (Mar. 28) that experts are gathering data to assess the situation and determine whether the tremors were linked to the major earthquake in the neighbouring country.
He emphasized that an official confirmation will be provided once the data has been fully analysed.
It should be noted that a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.7 hit Myanmar earlier on Friday afternoon, shaking parts of Thailand and Viet Nam.
