Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 29 – Cambodian Acting Head of State, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a condolence letter to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar, following the recent powerful earthquake on 28 March 2025.

"I am deeply saddened after learning the devastation, including the loss of lives, injuries, severe damage to the property as well as infrastructure, and the evacuation of many families caused by the catastrophic earthquake, impacting mainly the Mandalay region of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Mar. 29).

"In this very difficult time, on behalf of the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to you and, through you, to the families and communities, the Government, and the people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for these losses. May the deceased rest in peace, and I wish for the swift and complete recovery of those injured and affected by this terrible disaster."
