Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 29 – Cambodian President of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary sent a condolence letter to Thai Speaker of the House of Representatives Wanmuhamadnoor Matha following the recent powerful earthquake on 28 March 2025.
"I am deeply shocked to learn of the tremors felt in Bangkok following the powerful earthquake in neighboring Myanmar on 28 March 2025, which has claimed numerous lives, caused severe damage, and necessitated urgent evacuations," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Mar. 29).
"During this difficult time, on behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and in my personal capacity, I extend my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to you and, through you, to the government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand.
My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and all those affected. I wish the survivors strength and resilience and hope for a swift recovery for your country from this tragic disaster."
