Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 29 – Cambodian President of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary sent a condolence letter to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar, following the recent powerful earthquake on 28 March 2025.

"It is with profound sorrow and heartbreak that I learned of the devastating earthquake that struck central Myanmar on 28 March 2025, which has claimed numerous lives, including revered monks, caused severe damage, and necessitated urgent evacuations," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Mar. 29).

“During this difficult time, on behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to you and, through you, to the government and the people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and all those affected. I wish the survivors strength and resilience and hope for a swift recovery for your country from this tragic disaster."
