Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 29 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent a condolence letter to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar, following the recent powerful earthquake on 28 March 2025.
“I am profoundly saddened to hear about the devastating earthquake that struck central Myanmar on the afternoon of 28 March 2025, resulting in the tragic loss of lives, injuries, and widespread damage to property,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Mar. 29).
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Your Excellency, the Government, and the people of Myanmar, especially to the bereaved families and all those affected by this unfortunate natural disaster. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and we hope for the swift recovery of those injured.
Cambodia stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Myanmar during this challenging time. I am confident that, under your wise leadership, Myanmar will overcome this calamity and emerge stronger.”
