Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced to pay an official visit to Japan next month during which he has outlined plans to attract more Japanese investment to Cambodia.

The premier spoke on Monday (Apr. 7) at the inauguration of the USD 37 million Morodok Techo flyover in Phnom Penh.

“I will pay an official visit to Japan next month. We are preparing plans to attract more Japanese investors,” the premier underscored.

At the same time, Samdech Thipadei welcomed all foreign investors, whether from Japan, the United States, or India, to invest in all sectors in Cambodia.

The premier remarked that this has been the approach of the current government: while it may speak less, it achieves more.

It is also noteworthy that, in alignment with Prime Minister Hun Manet's planned official visit to Japan next month, Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Cambodia, Malaysia, and Viet Nam in mid-April 2025. Through these visits, the government aims to further promote investment opportunities in Cambodia.
