Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged citizens to promote Cambodia’s positives globally, speaking on Monday (Apr. 7) at the inauguration of the USD 37 million Morodok Techo flyover in Phnom Penh.
Samdech Thipadei stated: “Let’s unite to highlight the positive aspects of our country, attracting visitors to come and experience Cambodia.” He expressed gratitude to content creators working to showcase Cambodia’s strengths, adding, “When you see garbage, don’t spread it. Share the crowds and joy. Similarly, don’t focus on daily scandals; instead, share how we’re working to improve security and order.”
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined that fostering a positive mindset, being proactive, and spreading positivity is not just the government’s responsibility but everyone’s. He urged citizens to report any concerns by visiting the Phnom Penh Municipal Hall website.
In response to criticism, Prime Minister Hun Manet addressed the opposition's use of inappropriate and immoral language in the past. He urged his supporters not to retaliate with vulgar remarks that could damage Cambodia's moral values.
