Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 10 — Cambodia earned more than USD 116 million from rubber product sales, marking an increase of over 15 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to a report seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Apr. 10).
According to the General Directorate of Rubber's report, revenue from the export of rubber amounted to USD 114,935,762 while the export of rubberwood was USD 1,328,320.
The report also indicated that as of March 2025, the price of rubber was USD 1,923 per ton, an increase of USD 474 per ton, equivalent to a 32.7 per cent rise compared to the same period last year. The average export value of rubberwood in March 2025 was USD 230 per cubic meter.
Cambodia currently has a total rubber cultivation area of 425,443 hectares. Of this, 330,259 hectares (78 per cent) are actively producing rubber, while 95,184 hectares (22 per cent) are in the maintenance phase.
In addition to exports, Cambodian rubber is also supplied to three operational tire factories located in Svay Rieng, Preah Sihanouk, and Kratie provinces.
In 2024, Cambodia earned USD 666,256,799 from rubber exports and USD 5,422,377 from rubberwood exports.
