Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 11 – Newly appointed Thai Ambassador Tull Traisorat announced efforts to promote stronger cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand, and encouraged its investors to invest in Cambodia's northeastern provinces.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Newly Appointed Thai Ambassador Tull Traisorat, on 10 April 2025 at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Tull Traisorat expressed his great honour and pleasure at being appointed as Ambassador to Cambodia. He expressed his satisfaction with the excellent and long-standing neighbourly relations and noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Thailand and Cambodia.

The ambassador emphasised that the bonds of friendship and cooperation continue to deepen and flourish. The ambassador also extended his congratulations to Cambodia on the Official Launching Ceremony of the Special Programme to Promote Investment in the Four Northeastern Provinces, and expressed his commitment to encouraging Thai investors to explore investment opportunities in these provinces.

Furthermore, the ambassador pledged to actively work towards strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries in all areas, including government-to-government, ministry-to-ministry, institution-to-institution, private sector-to-private sector, and people-to-people connectivity.

In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed and congratulated Tull Traisorat on his appointment, expressing confidence that the ambassador would greatly contribute to further advancing the relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand. He encouraged the ambassador to collaborate closely with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to deepen cooperation across all sectors.

Both sides exchanged views on promoting cooperation in key areas such as economy, trade, investment, national defence and security, tourism, and strengthening linkages between the private sectors of both countries.
