Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 11 – Cambodian pop artist and cultural ambassador Tep Boprek will proudly represent Cambodia at the upcoming ROUND Festival 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 21–22, 2025. She will bring the spirit of Khmer heritage to life through mesmerizing performances of the Apsara dance and Khmer masked dance (Lakhon Khol).

The festival celebrates diversity, unity, and heritage through music and performance, with artists from across the region coming together to share their roots.

Tep Boprek, best known for her contemporary music career, is taking a meaningful turn by incorporating Cambodia’s rich classical dance traditions into her performance, bringing new light to ancient art forms.

“2025 ROUND Festival in Malaysia I, Tep Boprek, will bring a contemporary performance that blends together Lakhon Khol, Moni Mekhala dance, and Apsara—three iconic expressions of Khmer artistry—onto the international stage, all under the captivating vision of the piece titled "Deveraja” What I once dreamed of—bringing Khmer culture to the global stage—has now blossomed into reality. Bring Our Khmer To The Top," Tep Boprek stated.

Her performance will combine the elegance of Apsara dance—recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage—with the theatrical storytelling of Lakhon Khol, a masked dance deeply rooted in Cambodian royal history.
