Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 19 – The Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia yesterday signed a historic Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract with Funan Techo Coastal-Inland Waterways Company Ltd for the development of the Funan Techo Canal - a transformative USD 1.156 billion infrastructure project that will modernize Cambodia's water transport system, enhance economic independence,and strengthen regional connectivity.

"The signing took place during the State Visit to Cambodia by President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China, reflecting the high-level consensus reached between President Xi, Senate President Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Apr. 19).
