Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 23 – The Royal Governments of Cambodia and Thailand signed seven key cooperation documents on Wednesday (Apr. 23) under the presidency of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
The seven documents include:
1. Agreement of the employment of workers between the Royal Governments of Cambodia and Thailand.
2. Memorandum of Understanding between the Royal Governments of Cambodia and Thailand on labour cooperation.
3. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Environment of Cambodia and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand on trans-boundary environmental pollution cooperation.
4. Agreement between the Royal Governments of Cambodia and Thailand on the management and maintenance of the Cambodia-Thai Friendship Bridge (Stung Bot-Ban Nong Ian).
5. Agreement between the Royal Governments of Cambodia and Thailand on the construction of the new border bridge at Phsa Prum-Ban Pakard international border.
6. The record of discussions for the technical assistance on the detailed design of the improvement of the National Road No. 57 project (Battambang-Prum International Gate) between the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia and the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency of Thailand.
7. The exchange of notes of the projects on the strengthening of the capacity of the Cambodian-Thai Skills Development Centres.
It is worth noting that Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and spouse arrived in Cambodia on Wednesday (Apr. 23) for an official visit from 23-24 April 2025, at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.
