(Phnom Penh): Cambodia generated USD 22 million from ticket sales to the Angkor Archaeological Park, Koh Ker, and Chong Khneas Tourism Port in the first four months of 2025, according to a press release issued by Angkor Enterprise on Thursday (May 1).
During this period, 474,810 foreign tourists purchased tickets to visit Angkor Archaeological Park and Koh Ker temple, representing a 12.68 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024. This surge in visitors generated USD 22,208,810 in revenue, marking an 11.50 per cent increase year-on-year.
The Royal Government donated USD 949,620 to Kantha Bopha Hospital to help save the lives of Cambodian children.
It should be noted that in 2024, a total of 1,023,688 foreign tourists visited the Angkor Archaeological Park, an increase of over 28 per cent compared to 798,069 visitors in 2023. Ticket sales revenue for 2024 reached USD 47,826,981, up by more than 28 per cent from USD 37,198,988 in 2023.
