(Phnom Penh): First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) Sun Chanthol met with Adam Trina, Founder and President of Montana Fly Co., Ltd., through Casey Barnett, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham), on 5 May 2025 at the CDC.

With the support and guidance of Sun Chanthol, the US-based Montana Fly Co., through its wholly-owned subsidiary Fishing Fly Cambodia Co., Ltd., reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its investment in Cambodia. The company plans to establish Cambodia as its global manufacturing base to supply international markets.

It is noteworthy that Montana Fly is one of the world’s largest producers of artificial flies for fly fishing, with its products distributed across North America and the European Union.

The company has selected Cambodia as its principal manufacturing hub due to the country’s favourable conditions, including the Cambodian government’s pro-business policies allowing 100% foreign ownership, along with continuous public investment in logistics infrastructure. Additional advantages include a young, productive workforce that is open to new training and possesses strong English language proficiency.

At present, the company employs approximately 650 workers and has pledged to further expand its investment, aiming to scale up its manufacturing operations in Cambodia.
