(Phnom Penh): On Tuesday (May 6), Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet held a telephone conversation with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to extend his warm congratulations on the resounding victory of the Australian Labor Party in the recent federal election held on 3 May 2025.

Samdech Thipadei emphasised that the outcome of the election clearly reflects the strong trust and confidence of the Australian people in Prime Minister Albanese’s leadership, as well as their continued support for him to serve as Prime Minister and to lead the government in further delivering progress for the nation.

The premier expressed his firm confidence that under Prime Minister Albanese’s leadership, Cambodia and Australia will continue to further strengthen their cooperation across all sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.
