(Phnom Penh): On 12 May 2025, American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) and Manulife Cambodia officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic partnership that will create valuable opportunities for students, professionals, and the broader community. This collaboration emphasizes real-world learning, career development, community engagement, and shared efforts in promoting education and well-being.

Through this partnership, AUPP students will gain access to internship placements at Manulife Cambodia and potentially in its international offices. Manulife will consider AUPP graduates favorably in its recruitment efforts, supporting their transition into the workforce. Additionally, the partnership will bring Manulife senior leaders to AUPP to deliver guest lectures on leadership, professional growth, and industry trends. A structured mentorship program will allow students to receive personalized guidance from experienced Manulife professionals.

AUPP and Manulife will also co-develop a series of interactive workshops focusing on financial literacy, budgeting, investing, and careers in the insurance industry. These programs aim to equip students with practical skills and knowledge to navigate their personal and professional financial journeys.

The collaboration also opens doors for applied research and real-life case study projects, particularly in finance, risk management, and sustainability—ideal for academic capstones and business coursework.

The partnership extends beyond the classroom, with both institutions committed to impactful CSR campaigns. Together, there will be seminars and events on health, safety, and environmental awareness, including bringing in healthcare specialists to support disaster preparedness and wellness initiatives. AUPP students will also participate in large-scale events such as the Angkor Half Marathon, gaining hands-on experience in event execution and marketing.

This day is even more meaningful as Manulife Cambodia also launched its new product “Manulife Pak Rinha”: designed to secure the educational future of Cambodian children while providing parents with financial peace of mind as they pursue their children's dreams.

Together, AUPP and Manulife Cambodia are shaping a future where education, opportunity, and impact go hand in hand.
