(Kandal): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged the public not to incite or spread misunderstandings regarding videos showing Cambodian forces studying abroad. He stated that training exchanges between friendly countries are a common practice aimed at gaining new experiences and strengthening cooperation.
The premier spoke on Friday (May 16) on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Cambodian National Police.
Samdech Thipadei expressed his gratitude to all friendly nations that have provided support for training programs involving both the Cambodian military and national police, particularly the National Police, across various specialties.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet appealed to the public to avoid misinterpreting images or videos of Cambodian forces undergoing training abroad. He reaffirmed that the Cambodian National Police remains firmly committed to its national identity and duty, regardless of where its officers receive training. All members of the security forces, he said, place the national interest above all else and are devoted to safeguarding Cambodia’s sovereignty and national interests.
