(Pursat): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged local authorities to serve the people with dedication and actively address their challenges, emphasizing that this responsibility reflects the trust and support shown through the public’s vote for the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

The premier spoke on Saturday (May 17) during the inauguration ceremony of a new three-storey school building, along with other achievements, at Hun Sen Promaoy High School in Pursat Province.

Samdech Thipadei acknowledged that while local officials may not always be perfect, they have been consistently striving to solve citizens' problems. Although not every request can be addressed immediately, authorities have continued to work toward solutions over time.

On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet underlined that these ongoing efforts to respond to public concerns help build trust among voters and reinforce support for the CPP. In return, the government will continue showing gratitude by working even harder to serve the people, a foundational commitment of the CPP.

At the same time, Samdech Thipadei also urged local officials not to be discouraged by criticism from certain individuals.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, "We stand with the people every day. Solving some problems is better than solving none—we acknowledge the challenges and will continue working on them. This is the core principle of the CPP. The people of Pursat and Veal Veng have placed their trust in the CPP. We will work hard to further improve this region.”

Samdech Thipadei also pointed out that the election results in Pursat clearly demonstrate the people's trust and affection for the CPP, which stems from the sincere efforts of local authorities in working with and supporting the people.
