(Kampong Speu): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed strong confidence that Aural District in Kampong Speu Province will soon become a strategic area for investment, following the construction and completion of multiple road links connecting it to Kampong Chhnang and Koh Kong provinces.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (May 20) at an inauguration ceremony of the Conch KT Cement Factory in Aural District, Kampong Speu Province.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, "Thanks to the end of war and the Royal Government’s policies, Aural is no longer just a remote area accessible only from Kampong Speu. It is now connected to National Road No. 5, and another road linking to National Road No. 48, which leads to Koh Kong, will be completed soon. Aural is becoming a strategic investment zone with access to both National Roads No. 5 and No. 4. This area has the potential to develop into an agro-industrial or broader industrial hub."

Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that in any country plagued by war, infrastructure such as buildings, roads, and bridges can be destroyed in an instant. However, thanks to the peace achieved through the Royal Government’s win-win policy and sound political leadership, Cambodia has enjoyed political stability and development across all sectors.

On the occasion, the premier noted that within just three days, he had inaugurated two development projects in former conflict zones including a new school building in Veal Veng District and a cement factory. These achievements are the direct result of lasting peace. Without peace, none of this would be possible. It is through the win-win policy, honesty, and mutual trust that Cambodia has successfully ended the war.
