(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that learners acquire a lifelong asset of knowledge that never dries up, which they can use to develop themselves and support their families through employment, investment, or entrepreneurship. He stated that education brings numerous benefits not only to individuals but also to society as a whole.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (May 21) at the graduation of students and student teachers of the National Institute of Education.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, “Clearly, learners gain a lifelong asset of knowledge that never dries up, which they can use to develop themselves and support their families, whether through employment, investment, or entrepreneurship. At the same time, education brings wide-ranging benefits to society.”

Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged all student-teachers and graduates to actively support the Royal Government, particularly the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, in achieving shared goals in the education sector. These goals include building a skilled and ethical human resource base with comprehensive knowledge to contribute effectively and sustainably to Cambodia’s socio-economic development through innovation, diversity, and competitiveness.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also expressed strong hope that all graduates would strive to overcome obstacles in order to become responsible citizens, competent public servants, and capable professionals. He encouraged them to apply their knowledge and skills with professionalism, strong ethics, and a spirit of service to contribute to the nation and the beloved motherland.
