(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits to be held on 26-27 May 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the invitation of Dato Seri Anwar brahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Chair of the 2025 ASEAN Summits.
"Samdech Thipadei and the First Lady Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, will be accompanied by Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn along with other ministers, senior government officials and business representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Friday (May 23).
"Under the theme "Inclusivity and Sustainability", the Summit will focus on advancing ASEAN Community building and is expected to adopt the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 – a milestone that will reaffirm and enhance the region's shared commitment to a resilient, innovative, dynamic and people-centred ASEAN.
The Related Summits will offer a platform for ASEAN to deepen and expand its relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as to engage with both the GCC and China on economic cooperation amidst a shifting geopolitical and economic landscape.
While in Kuala Lumpur, Samdech Thipadei is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with ASEAN and other world leader to strengthen and deepen bilateral relations on issues of common interest and concern."
