(Kuala Lumpur): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Dato' Amir Firdaus Abdullah, Chairman and Group Managing Director of Aurelius Healthcare, on 27 May 2025, on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the meeting, the chairman and group managing director of Aurelius Healthcare expressed his deep appreciation to the prime minister for taking time from his busy schedule to meet with him and his delegation.

He briefed Samdech Thipadei on Aurelius Healthcare’s regional operations, noting that the company manages major hospitals in several ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, Viet Nam, and Thailand.

Dato’ Amir Firdaus Abdullah further shared that the company has recently partnered with STSK Investment Group in Cambodia and is planning to expand its presence in the country. This expansion includes investment in high-quality healthcare services and a commitment to human resource development through the transfer of skills, expertise, and investment in hospital staff across Cambodia.

For his part, Prime Minister Hun Manet warmly welcomed the company’s interest and expressed appreciation for its intention to invest in Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei underlined that Aurelius Healthcare’s focus on the health sector aligns with the Royal Government’s policy priorities, particularly its commitment to strengthening the healthcare system at the grassroots level. This includes building and upgrading healthcare infrastructure, enhancing the capacity of healthcare personnel at health centres and referral hospitals, and establishing two new regional hospitals in Siem Reap and Kampong Cham provinces.

The premier also reaffirmed the government’s dedication to providing healthcare services that are high-quality, reliable, and safe, alongside efforts to implement a national health insurance system for the benefit of Cambodian citizens.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged Aurelius Healthcare to continue strengthening its collaboration with Cambodian partners to help deliver accessible, high-quality healthcare services to the people of Cambodia.
