(Tokyo): In response to a recent armed clash between Cambodian and Thai troops, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet pledged that the Royal Government, the Ministry of National Defence, and the Cambodian Armed Forces will make every effort to resolve the issue and safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stated to let the Royal Government and our armed forces address this matter together. The border commission is scheduled to meet at the end of June for further negotiations.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, “The Royal Government, the Ministry of National Defence, the Commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and all regional commanders will work together to protect our nation and our territory.”

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei delivered a heartfelt message to all soldiers stationed at the frontlines, thanking them for their patriotism and readiness to defend the country. He extended his best wishes to them and reaffirmed that the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia stand behind them in solidarity and support.

The premier also expressed appreciation to citizens who have shown interest in joining the military, praising their patriotic spirit.
