(Preah Vihear): Oknha Leng Navatra, President of the Youth for Justices, led a delegation comprising advisors, vice presidents, team leaders, and members on a field visit to meet and encourage frontline troops stationed at the border.

The delegation delivered financial assistance and essential food supplies to General Hing Bun Hieng, four-star general and Deputy Commander-in-Chief, as well as Commander of the Bodyguard Headquarters, who is leading forces in the Emerald Triangle border area — a zone recently affected by minor armed clashes between Cambodian and Thai military forces in Choam Khsant district, Preah Vihear province.

The visit and handover ceremony took place on Saturday (31 May), under the high presidency of General Hing Bun Hieng.

The donations included 200 million riel in funds, 2,000 boxes of instant noodles, and 50 tonnes of rice for the armed forces, who have made countless sacrifices to safeguard peace, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty.

On this occasion, Oknha Leng Navatra expressed his gratitude to General Hing Bun Hieng, describing him as one of Cambodia’s most distinguished military leaders for deploying heavy weaponry and troops to the frontlines. He also thanked the general for allowing the Youth for Justices to directly convey their respect for the bravery and patriotism of the forces defending the nation.

Oknha Leng Navatra further conveyed messages of solidarity and encouragement to all troops standing firm in the defence of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, affirming their readiness to carry out any orders issued by the head of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, the Prime Minister.

He stated, “As president of the Youth for Justices, I consistently advise and encourage all members to unite in defence of our nation. In particular, we extend our deepest respect and gratitude to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Samdech Kittipritthbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, and his spouse. They have always made tireless efforts to protect our country and people in every possible way. That is why I have no hesitation in making sacrifices — not only material assets, but even my life — to stand with our military whenever the nation calls.”

General Hing Bun Hieng emphasised, “The deployment of troops and heavy weapons is not intended to threaten our neighbouring country or provoke war. Rather, it is a strategic measure to prepare for counterattacks in the event of a violation of our national sovereignty.”

He also expressed his appreciation to Oknha Leng Navatra and the Youth for Justices for their visit and for supporting frontline troops with both financial aid and vital supplies.
