(Nice): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met Prime Minister of the Ivory Coast Robert Beugré Mambé on 10 June 2025 on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3).

During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei recalled the participation of the Ivorian prime minister in the 39th General Assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), held in Phnom Penh in late 2019.

The premier also emphasised that the two countries share several similarities, particularly in the foundations of their economies.

In addition, Samdech Thipadei extended an invitation to the Ivorian prime minister to undertake an official visit to Cambodia at any convenient time, and to consider participating in the 20th Francophonie Summit, which Cambodia will host in 2026 in Siem Reap province.

In response, the prime minister of Côte d’Ivoire praised the capable leadership of Samdech Thipadei in maintaining peace, stability, and development across all sectors in Cambodia.

He also expressed his hope to have the opportunity to pay an official visit to Cambodia and attend the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026, viewing it as a valuable occasion to continue bilateral dialogue aimed at further strengthening and expanding ties and cooperation between the two nations.

Both prime ministers held further discussions and exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration, particularly in the fields of industry and agriculture.

The Ivorian prime minister committed to dispatching his Minister of Industry on a working visit to Cambodia to explore the potential for enhanced cooperation and connectivity in the development of local production bases.

Both leaders agreed to continue identifying and pursuing opportunities to deepen and broaden bilateral cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of the peoples and nations of Cambodia and Côte d’Ivoire.
