(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) would like to inform the digital technology companies, firms, micro small and medium enterprises (MSEMs) and startup in all sectors, academia and research institutes, civil society organizations, development partners, professionals, students (all relevant stakeholders), and public about progress of preparing the draft “National Artificial Intelligence Strategy” as follows:

“After a deep-dive workshop on 7-8 April 2025, the MPTC Working Group revised the draft National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and sent the revised version to ministries and institutions for input and feedback and also organized 10 bilateral and multilateral consultation meetings with those ministries and institutions between 9-20 May 2025. The ministries and institutions expressed their support and provided positive comments on the draft,” according to the announcement seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Jun. 12).

“As the following steps, MPTC is going to organize a consultation meeting with digital technology companies, private sector representatives, academia and research institutes, civil society, and development partners in the third week of June 2025, and the national workshop on the draft National Artificial Intelligence Strategy will be hosted in the first week of July 2025.

To collect broader inputs and feedback from all relevant stakeholders, aiming to make the draft become a comprehensive national document, MPTC is pleased to open a public consultation on the draft Artificial Intelligence National Strategy, from today until 20 June 2025.

To provide input and feedback, please download the relevant documents—including the draft National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (NAIS), concept note, and feedback form—via the first QR code below, and then submit the completed feedback form along with any other attachments through the second QR code below by 20 June 2025 at 11:59 PM. The MPTC Working Group will review and consolidate all comments for consideration as additional input to be incorporated into the draft National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
