(Phnom Penh): Following what he described as a misquotation of his earlier remarks, Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen issued a clarification on Monday (Jun. 16) on Cambodia’s position regarding Thailand’s unilateral border closure by its military.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed that Cambodia will allow a 24-hour window for Thailand to restore normal border operations. If the Thai side fails to act within that timeframe, Cambodia will move to suspend all imports of Thai fruits and vegetables through every border checkpoint.
