(Phnom Penh): June 21, 2025 As part of its ongoing commitment to expanding access to reproductive health care and education, Marie Stopes International Cambodia (MSIC) partnered with Baksey Media to deliver a comprehensive health session on Thursday, June 19th, at Baksey Media's office in Phnom Penh.

The session focused on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), with a strong emphasis on cervical cancer awareness and prevention, as well as offering confidential one-on-one SRH consultations for Baksey Media staff members. This initiative is part of MSI Cambodia’s broader workplace outreach strategy, aimed at bringing essential health services directly to young professionals in Cambodia, with support from the Australian Government, under the ‘Responding with Essential Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Provision and New Delivery Mechanisms’ Program (RESPOND) Phase II.

“Our goal is to share essential SRH information and access to safe, confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental services with partners– not just in clinics, but in their everyday environments,” said Phanorinn Chhun, Director of Marketing and Communication, MSIC. “By partnering with companies like Baksey Media, we can help normalize conversations around sexual and reproductive health and make preventive care more accessible to young adults.”

MSIC’s team of trained providers offered, on-site, to:

* Provide confidential sexual and reproductive health consultations
* Offer information and counselling on cervical cancer screening and prevention
* Distribute educational materials to encourage informed health decisions

Health education sessions form a core part of MSIC’s mission to ensure all individuals – especially women and youth – have the knowledge and information to make informed choices about their bodies and futures. With Cambodia’s cervical cancer rates among the highest in the region, early detection and education are key in turning the tide against preventable deaths aligning with the National Cancer Control Plan 2025-2030 issued by the Ministry of Health on May 5, 2025.

“We believe that empowered, healthy employees contribute to stronger, more productive, and resilient organizations,” added MSIC. “By creating safe spaces for these conversations, we help break down stigma and equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive.”

This session reflects the values shared by both MSIC and Baksey Media – particularly the belief that access to accurate SRH information, confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental healthcare is a fundamental right.
