(Kandal): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that he is currently awaiting individuals in Thailand who will hold genuine power and adopt a clear and consistent stance, with whom Cambodia can reliably engage in good faith, in order to seek joint solutions that benefit both nations and their peoples.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Jun. 26) at the graduation ceremony at the Police Academy of Cambodia in Kandal Province.

Samdech Thipadei highlighted that the uncertainty and sudden inconsistencies in the Thai government's political direction, particularly the disconnect between the policies issued by Thailand's political leadership and their implementation by the Thai military, have created barriers to reaching a genuine resolution.

The premier cited a concrete example concerning decisions to close or reopen border crossings with Cambodia, which have been marked by ambiguity between the Thai prime minister and the military. At times, the borders were completely closed, only to be reopened in selected areas later, reflecting a lack of coordination.
