(Takeo): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that the presence and support of the citizens strengthens leadership, particularly in addressing challenges that is an element he described as a “truthful force of legitimacy.”

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Jul. 1) during the National Fish Day celebration and the release of approximately 1.5 million fish into Tonle Sap Lake, held in Bati district, Takeo province.

“The love, support, and trust from the citizens are a tremendous source of strength to continue serving them. It is an opportunity to lead and address problems, especially pressing challenges, with a strong sense of responsibility. When the people are with us, we have everything,” the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei continued that with the people behind them, our armed forces have no fear. With the people as their backbone, they have full confidence in fulfilling their duty to defend the nation. Therefore, let us continue to uphold this spirit.

On the occasion, the premier added that whenever the country faces difficulties, the citizens come together in unity and support for the nation. This is an expression of national pride. He thanked Cambodian people for this unwavering patriotic spirit.
