(Phnom Penh): On Tuesday (Jul. 1), Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet held a meeting with professor Jean-Marc Sorel to discuss about the continuing process to bring the border dispute in Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Moan Tauch Temple, Ta Krabei Temple, and the Emerald Triangle (Mom Bei) area to the ICJ.
The premier wrote on his social media on Tuesday (Jul. 1) as follows:
“I just had a meeting with professor Jean-Marc Sorel to discuss about the continuing process to bring the border dispute in Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Moan Tauch Temple, and Ta Krabei Temple, and the Mom Bei area to the ICJ.
Professor Jean-Marc Sorel was an important member of legal advisory and lawyers team, which helped Cambodia win the case of interpretation of ICJ’s 1962 decision regarding Preah Vihear Temple in 2011-2013.
Cambodia is committed to bringing border disputes in Ta Moan Thom Temple, Ta Moan Tauch Temple, and Ta Krabei Temple, and the Mom Bei area to the ICJ; in order to find solution in a peaceful manner and based on international laws.”
