(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Rice Federation announced that in the six months of 2025, Cambodia exported 387,070 tonnes of milled rice, earning USD 283.41 million, according to the announcement seen by Fresh News on Friday (Jul. 4).
According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, these exports were carried out by 50 rice exporters to 63 destinations, of which to 26 European countries, totalled to 182,885 tons of rice, valued at USD 143.64 million. Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, received 102,509 tons worth USD 60.25 million. Seven ASEAN countries imported 52,890 tons valued at USD 37.09 million, while 32 other countries—Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.—imported 48,785 tons worth USD 42.42 million.
Of the rice exported, fragrant rice accounted for 75 per cent, white rice 19.68 per cent, parboiled rice 2.49 per cent, organic rice 2.13 per cent, and other varieties 0.7 per cent. Notably, total wet rice exports reached 3,176,561 tons, generating over USD 757.49 million.
