(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Pabitra Margherita, Indian Union Minister of State for External Affairs, on 7 July 2025 at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Pabitra Margherita expressed his profound gratitude to Samdech Thipadei for taking the time from his busy schedule to welcome him and his delegation. He also conveyed his pleasure in making this official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Indian minister highly valued the progress of relations and cooperation between the two countries, highlighting the long-standing and traditional friendship between India and Cambodia. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to further strengthening and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation to become more robust and prosperous.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed Pabitra Margherita and his delegation for their visit to Cambodia. He expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the good bilateral relations and cooperation across various sectors in recent times. He also emphasized that both countries still have many potential areas for further collaboration, and Cambodia stands ready to work closely with the Republic of India.

Both sides also discussed and agreed to continue promoting and enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as economy, trade, investment, finance, security and defence, culture, education, health, tourism, air connectivity, and textiles for even greater progress.
