(Phnom Penh): On Wednesday (Jul. 16) the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia issued an updated list of goods originating from Thailand that are prohibited from being imported into Cambodia. The notice was addressed to business operators, traders, entrepreneurs, and the general public, according to an official announcement seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Jul. 16).
According to the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, the prohibited goods exported from Thailand include vegetables and fruits, fuel and gas products, specifically as follows:
1. Gasoline
2. Diesel
3. Liquefied gas for combustion (LPG and LNG)
4. Fuel oil
5. Jet fuel (Jet-A1)
However, other goods not listed above are not subject to import restrictions. Business operators and traders may continue to import those goods as usual, provided they follow the required procedures and complete the official documentation.
Regarding transportation routes and means of import into Cambodia, traders and business operators may use various means of transport and official border checkpoints, except for land border crossings between Cambodia and Thailand, which remain unilaterally closed by the Thai military.
The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to business operators, traders, entrepreneurs, and the public on the developments and enforcement measures related to this matter.
