(Sihanoukville): Under the directive of Sar Ratha, Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police of Sihanoukville Province, the Immigration Police Force, in cooperation with the Unified Command of the Sihanoukville Provincial Administration and with the coordination of procedures from the Deputy Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Sihanoukville Provincial Court, inspected two rental houses located in Group 18, Village 5, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville City-Province.

The operation was conducted on July 10 and 11, 2025.

As a result, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police found 43 foreign nationals (including 14 women) of Vietnamese nationality, one illegal immigrant.

They were all employees involved in technological fraud using Telegram and Facebook accounts and fake websites.

Additionally, police seized a number of items including: 13 passports, 16 computers, 16 mobile phones, and 2 motorcycles.

Authorities have arrested a Vietnamese woman, DOAN TRAN NGOC LINH, as the leader of the group, to continue legal procedures and request cooperation from the General Department of Immigration to take action against 22 illegal foreigners.

The two rental houses above have been temporarily closed.

The Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police Department continues to work hard to crack down on fraud using technology to maintain security and order for citizens and national and international tourists.
