(Kandal): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet declared a firm commitment to combat all forms of abuse and exploitation, aiming to promote the well-being of the people, especially women and children, who are the most vulnerable groups.

The premier spoke on Wednesday (Jul. 23) during an official inauguration of the Lotus Centre, located in Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet affirmed that the seventh-mandate Royal Government holds a strong commitment to work closely with civil society organisations to fight trafficking and abuse against women and children, as well as to promote the rights and welfare of women. The seventh-mandate Royal Government continues to dedicate itself to supporting the activities of our partners such as civil society organisations and international organisations, working together to assist the people, particularly communities in need, especially impoverished communities and vulnerable women and children.

“On behalf of the Royal Government, I would like to assure fellow citizens of our resolute commitment to combating all forms of abuse and exploitation, with a focus on promoting the well-being of the people, especially women and children, the most vulnerable groups. Therefore, I call on all ministries, institutions, authorities at all levels, the private sector, civil society, development partners, as well as national and international organisations to increase their engagement with the Royal Government in the nationwide campaign against all forms of abuse and exploitation throughout Cambodia,” the premier underscored.

Alongside this commitment, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed gratitude to all relevant parties who have supported and assisted the Cambodian Children’s Fund in carrying out its mission. Without such support and cooperation, the Cambodian Children’s Fund would not have been able to achieve the proud outcomes it has today.
