(Kandal): Cambodia deployed 184 peacekeepers, including 33 female personnel, to participate in a United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Lebanon.

Addressing the troops during a coordination meeting on 9 May 2026, Lieutenant General Sem Ratana, Acting Director General of the National Centre for Peacekeeping Forces, Mine, and ERW Clearance (NPMEC), praised the returning troops and encouraged the departing team to uphold unity, safety, and professionalism. He conveyed messages from Prime Minister Hun Manet and Defence Minister Tea Seiha, stressing unity, discipline, and cooperation.

The new contingent will carry out mine clearance, UXO disposal, and infrastructure construction along the Lebanon-Israel border as part of the UN peacekeeping mission.
