(Phnom Penh): Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin highlighted on Tuesday (May 12) the strong growth in Cambodia’s rice exports to China, noting that Cambodia exported 129,332 tonnes of rice to the Chinese market during the first four months of 2026.

According to the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), the export volume represented a sharp year-on-year increase of 83 per cent and generated export revenues of USD 75.88 million.

In a message posted on social media, the ambassador stated that the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the China-Cambodia Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA) continued to boost Cambodia’s agricultural trade and deepen economic cooperation between the two countries.
