(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet instructed new engravings at the Win-Win Monument to commemorate Cambodia’s defence of its territory during the 2025 border conflict with Thailand.
Speaking at the 19th Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Day on Friday, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said the monument should preserve key moments of the conflict as part of Cambodia’s historical legacy.
He instructed Defence Minister Tea Seiha and General Nem Sowath to include three main scenes: the suffering caused by war, the bravery of Cambodian armed forces and security personnel, and the unity of Khmer people worldwide in supporting national defence.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet underscored the importance of these three scenes as integral components of Cambodia’s historical narrative. He called for the careful preservation of the artwork and imagery to ensure they are permanently engraved at the Win-Win Monument, thereby serving as a historical legacy for future generations.
