(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet praised the new headquarters of Cambodia’s General Department of Taxation (GDT), highlighting its modern design, elegance, and strong Cambodian identity.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Thursday (May 21) in Phnom Penh, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet commended the project for being largely built by Cambodian professionals using locally sourced materials and products.

“This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work and careful attention of all parties involved, especially the GDT director general,” the premier said.

The new complex combines modern technology with Khmer architectural and cultural elements. It includes a 30-storey office tower, conference and commercial facilities, a broadcasting room, and a data centre.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet also praised the construction team for meeting national and international engineering standards while showcasing Cambodia’s cultural identity through the building’s design.
