(Tboung Khmum): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed the government's unwavering support for the private sector, particularly in agriculture, through comprehensive incentives, including tax exemptions and relief measures, to enhance investment, increase farmers' incomes, and foster overall economic development.

Speaking on Wednesday (May 27) in Tboung Khmum Province, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasised that the government has sustained a zero tax policy on agricultural land and continues to mitigate electricity costs by absorbing financial losses during global price fluctuations, thereby protecting citizens from rising expenses.

Furthermore, he noted that export taxes on significant finished products, such as tires, have been eliminated to bolster international competitiveness.

On the occasion, the prime minister also underscored that these initiatives are strategically designed to enhance investor confidence, attract increased investment, and establish a balanced economic environment that benefits both the agricultural sector and industry.
