(Phnom Penh): Khmer Enterprise, in collaboration with AEON Cambodia, has successfully concluded the first round of the 2026 Local Products Fair, which ran for two weeks from 18 May to 31 May 2026 across all three AEON Mall branches: AEON Mall Phnom Penh, AEON Mall Sen Sok City, and AEON Mall Mean Chey.
This fair once again demonstrated Khmer Enterprise’s commitment to developing a vibrant local market and amplifying the reach of Cambodian products. A notable highlights of this edition was the participation of newly onboarded SMEs — beneficiaries of KE’s Market Linkage Program — who received dedicated support to meet AEON’s compliance and quality requirements. Since the inception of this collaboration in 2021, hundreds of SMEs have been able to collectively benefit from millions of dollars of revenue through this initiative.
Chhieng Vanmunin, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Chief Executive Officer of Khmer Enterprise states that: “Khmer Enterprise supports SMEs through the full business development journey — from capacity building and capital support to linking them into retail distribution networks like AEON. This fair clearly reflects the Royal Government’s commitment, through Khmer Enterprise, to create market opportunities for showcasing products to consumers, aiming to promote and develop local product supply chains.”
The fair drove greater awareness and consumption of local goods, strengthened buyer confidence, and opened new commercial pathways between producers and retail buyers. Shoppers from across Cambodia and beyond engaged with an expanded lineup of brands spanning fresh produce, dairy, packaged goods, and everyday essentials, reflecting the growing diversity and quality of the country’s local producers.
Sin Pysey, Managing Director of AEON Cambodia states that: “At AEON Cambodia, we strongly believe that supporting local products means supporting Cambodian families, communities, and the national economy. Through the Local Product Fair, we are proud to continue creating opportunities for local SMEs to showcase their products to a wider audience and grow a longside with modern retail. Seeing more Cambodian brands gain customer trust and recognition each year is truly encouraging, and we remain committed to creating more platforms that promote the quality, creativity, and potential of local products.”
Kimura Eisuke, Senior General Manager of AEON MALL Cambodia, states that:”AEON MALL Cambodia is committed to supporting local SMEs through initiatives such as this local fair. The event provides an opportunity for Cambodian brands to reach more customers, promote local products, and grow their businesses. At the same time, we aim to create a more exciting shopping experience by offering customers a wider variety of products in an enjoyable shopping environment. Moving forward, we will continue to consider organizing similar events to further promote local products and support local businesses.”
The successful conclusion of the 11th Local Products Fair highlights the continued partnership between Khmer Enterprise and AEON Cambodia in strengthening Cambodia’s SME sector, enhancing market access for local producers, and promoting sustainable economic growth.
Together, let us keep championing Cambodian products, nurturing local entrepreneurs, and building an economy that is both resilient and proudly homegrown.
