(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of Cambodia, sent a congratulatory letter to the Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matvienko ahead of Russia Day, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Monday (Jun. 8).

In the letter, Samdech Techo stated, “On the auspicious occasion of Russia Day, on behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, may I extend my warmest congratulations to you, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly, and the friendly people of the Russian Federation.”

Samdech Techo noted that the long-standing relations between the two countries, which are built on the foundation of solidarity, mutual trust and understanding, and win-win cooperation, continue to grow and have yielded tangible benefits for the two peoples.

He expressed strong confidence in their shared resolve to advance the bilateral ties in all potential areas of cooperation to serve the best interests of the two nations.

“I look forward to working closely with you to further deepen our parliamentary cooperation in pursuit of lasting peace and sustainable development,” concluded Samdech Techo.
