(Phnom Penh): Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sudary extended congratulations to Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane on the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Laos, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Jun. 10).

In her message, Khuon Sudary conveyed warm congratulations on behalf of the National Assembly of Cambodia and the Cambodian people to President Xaysomphone, his colleagues, and the people of Laos.

“We are bound by a longstanding relationship as good neighbours, special traditional friends, and trusted strategic partners,” she wrote. “Rooted deeply in history and continuously nurtured across generations, our enduring ties reflect mutual trust, solidarity, and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity.”

She also expressed confidence that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead, bringing greater mutual benefits to both countries and peoples.
