(Tbilisi): Cambodia’s Minister of Post and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth joined ministers and senior officials from more than 100 countries at the United Nations Public Service Forum (UNPSF) 2026 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The forum, held in conjunction with United Nations Public Service Day, officially opened on 23 June and was presided over by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. The event brought together ministers from over 20 countries, deputy ministers, senior government officials, and representatives of international organizations to exchange experiences and best practices in public service delivery.
Minister Chea Vandeth attended the forum at the invitation of Li Junhua, United Nations Under Secretary General for Economic and Social Affairs, and Paata Salia, Georgia’s Minister of Justice.
Observed annually since 2003, the United Nations Public Service Day recognizes the vital role of public service in advancing development and improving citizens’ lives worldwide. Since 2009, the UNPSF has served as a global platform for governments to discuss innovative approaches to public sector reform and service delivery.
Georgia was selected to host the 2026 forum in recognition of its significant achievements in public service reform and institutional transformation over the past four years.
During the event, Cambodia showcased its verify.gov.kh platform, highlighting the country's progress in digital public service innovation. Aligned with the UNPSF 2026 theme, “Transforming Public Institutions,” the platform enables secure and instant verification of official documents and certificates, helping strengthen trust, transparency, and efficiency in public service delivery.
The presentation provided an opportunity for government representatives and digital leaders from around the world to explore Cambodia’s digital transformation efforts and share insights on modernizing public administration.
