(Phnom Penh): Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk are scheduled to return to Cambodia from Beijing, China, on 3 July 2026, Senate Spokesperson Chea Thyrith said at a press conference on Friday (Jun. 27) following Senate President Hun Sen’s official visit to China.

He also announced that the king's health has improved and returned to normal after receiving medical treatment in Beijing, describing the news as reassuring for the Cambodian people.

He added that both Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet have closely monitored the king's health throughout his treatment.

King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Monineath travelled to Beijing on 27 February 2026 for routine medical check-ups.
