(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Ueno Atsushi signed the exchange of notes and accompanying documents on the extension of the Government of Japan's Grant Aid, amounting to four hundred and sixteen million Japanese Yen (JPY 416,000,000), approximately USD 2.8 million, for the implementation of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship.

The project will provide young Cambodian government officials with opportunities to pursue graduate studies at various Japanese prestigious universities, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Jul. 8).

This grant assistance clearly reflects Japan's steadfast commitment to supporting Cambodia's human resource development, fostering Cambodia's socio-economic development, as well as further elevating the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
