(Phnom Penh): Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin rejected a recent report published by Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun alleging that a Chinese doctor performed a kidney transplant surgery at Cambodia's Preah Ket Mealea Hospital.  

In a social media post on Friday (Jul. 10), Ambassador Wang said the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia had verified the claim with Preah Ket Mealea Hospital.

“The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia has verified with Preah Ket Mealea Hospital that no Chinese doctor has ever involved in kidney transplant surgeries at the hospital. The report by the Yomiuri Shimbun is purely fake news,” he wrote.
