(China): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet safely returned to Cambodia on Friday night (Jul. 17), concluding his three-day official working visit to China.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet led a high-level Cambodian delegation to pay a working visit to China from 15-17 July 2026 at the invitation of the Chinese government.

During the visit, he attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai on July 17, where he delivered remarks under the theme "Partnership in Artificial Intelligence for a Brighter Future”.

The prime minister also paid a courtesy call on Chinese President Xi Jinping, held bilateral talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and met representatives of Chinese business communities.

The working visit underscored the shared commitment of Cambodia and China to further deepening their enduring friendship and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation.

The visit also injected a fresh momentum into the implementation of the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, advanced the diamond cooperation framework and promoted the building of an all-weather Cambodia-China Community with a shared future in the new era.
